Advisory Body

The Advisory Board (AB) is a consultative body operating within the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Prishtina. It contributes to the academic, professional, and strategic development of study programs. The Advisory Board serves as a bridge between higher education, the labor market, and contemporary developments in the relevant academic and professional fields.

The Advisory Board of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering consists of:

• representatives of the academic staff of the faculty,
• representatives of public institutions,
• representatives of the private sector and industry,
• professionals and experts in the relevant field,
• representatives of students and alumni.

The composition of the Advisory Board ensures a balanced combination of academic expertise and practical experience.

Welcome to the Advisory Board section of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Advisory Board brings external professional and academic expertise that strengthens the development of our study programs and aligns them with the real needs of the labor market. Mission
The mission of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering is to support the academic unit in enhancing the quality of teaching and the relevance of study programs through professional and academic advice grounded in experience and expertise.
Role and Functions
The Advisory Board of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering has an advisory and recommendatory role, contributing to:
• the development and review of study programs,
• alignment of curricula with labor market needs,
• identification of emerging academic and professional trends,
• improvement of students’ professional preparedness, and
• strengthening cooperation with public and private sector stakeholders.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering include:
• providing recommendations for the improvement of study programs,
• advising on professional competencies required by the labor market,
• supporting initiatives related to professional practice and employability,
• contributing to the development of career-related policies and mechanisms, and
• offering expertise in accreditation and self-evaluation processes.
 
Operating Modalities
The Advisory Board of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering meets periodically, typically once or twice per year, or as needed by the academic unit. Meetings are organized in cooperation with the faculty management and are intended to facilitate discussion and provide concrete recommendations
 
Contribution to the Development of the Academic Unit
Through their engagement, the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering contributes to:
• improving academic quality,
• enhancing graduate employability,
• strengthening the link between the university and the labor market, and

Cooperation with the Career Development Center
 
The Advisory Board of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering works closely with the Career Development Center (CDC) of the University of Prishtina in:
• identifying labor market needs and required professional competencies,
• developing internship programs and employment opportunities for students and graduates,
• involving employers in career orientation and counseling activities, and
• supporting employability initiatives and the transition from studies to the labor market.
 
This cooperation aims to establish sustainable career development mechanisms within academic units.
